Privacy and data
We keep this simple, because we keep your data simple. The only personal details we hold are the ones you choose to send us when you start a conversation about a piece — and we use them for exactly that. We also use a few third-party tools to measure how the site is used and whether our advertising is working; they are listed under Analytics and cookies below.
What we collect
When you use our contact form or write to us directly, we receive what you give us: your name, an email address and/or phone number so we can reply, and — if you add them — your location and a message about your space or piece. We do not buy or enrich your details from anywhere else. Browsing activity is measured separately — see Analytics and cookies below.
Why we use it
Solely to respond to your inquiry and, if it becomes an order, to manage your project — drawings, samples, delivery and our own records. We do not add you to mailing lists or newsletters, and we never upload your name, email or phone number to any advertising platform. As we say on the contact page: no lists, no newsletters.
How your message is handled
Our site is hosted on Netlify, and contact-form submissions are processed by Netlify Forms and forwarded to us by email at hello@askstudioeg.com. These providers process your message only so that it reaches us. We never sell or rent your information, and we share it only with the service providers needed to deliver and store your message.
Analytics and cookies
Four tools help us understand how this site is used and whether our advertising reaches the right people. Two are cookieless; two are not.
- Plausible Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics — visitor counts and page views. Both are cookieless, collect no personal data, and do not follow you to other websites.
- Microsoft Clarity — records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, how far people read) so we can see where the site is confusing. Sessions are recorded anonymously and may be linked to Microsoft's advertising services.
- Meta Pixel — sets a cookie named _fbp and reports page views to Meta, so we can tell whether our Instagram and Facebook advertising leads to real inquiries, and reach people with similar interests. This is an advertising cookie, and it does track activity across other websites.
These load when you arrive. If you would rather not be measured, browser tracking protection, private browsing or any ad blocker will stop them, and the site works exactly the same. Separately, a small amount of information is stored locally in your browser purely to improve the experience (for example, to avoid replaying the intro animation), and it never leaves your device.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as it is useful to your project and our reasonable business records, and no longer than necessary. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it — just email hello@askstudioeg.com and we will take care of it. You can also turn off Meta's advertising cookie from your Meta ad preferences, and clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. ASK Studio is based in Egypt; wherever you are, we aim to honour data-protection requests in the spirit of the GDPR and Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law.
