The material does the talking. A river of pigmented resin runs through figured walnut or ziricote, lit from the grain rather than printed on it. An executive desk is measured before it is designed. We size the top to your room and your reach, set the height to your chair, and decide early whether you want an open architectural slab or a desk with a return, drawers and a modesty panel. None of that is off a catalogue.
- Proportion first. A desk that is too deep swallows a room; too shallow and it feels like a console. We work the footprint against the space before we cut.
- Storage where you need it. Pedestals, drawers and a discreet return can be built in, or left out entirely for a pure floating slab.
- The right slab for the role. A solicitor's desk and a creative director's desk want different timber and different restraint. We choose the flitch around the brief.

A boardroom table is the most demanding piece we make for a workplace, and the most rewarding. At two, three or four metres it is too long for a single clean slab, so the surface is composed: consecutive slabs cut from one trunk, book-matched so the grain mirrors across the centre line, with a poured resin seam carrying the join.
That is only possible because we buy whole flitches and keep them in sequence — the same discipline behind our wood selection. The resin river can run the full length as a single unbroken line, or pool into a still centre that anchors the table. - Hidden channels. Cables run through routed paths in the underside and down the leg or pedestal, out of sight from any seat.
- Flush ports and grommets. Power, data and charging come up through discreet flush plates — placed where you actually reach, in a finish that suits the wood rather than fighting it.
- Floor and wall feeds. For a fixed boardroom we coordinate with your fit-out so the table meets a floor box cleanly, with no trailing run.
The aim is a surface that looks like a single sculpted object and works like a fully serviced workstation. This is the part most makers leave to the client; we treat it as part of the order, planned alongside the cast and finish.
Built to be used hard, every day
An office surface lives a harder life than a dining table — keyboards dragged across it, mugs set down without a coaster, sleeves and watch buckles, eight hours a day. Daily-use durability is therefore engineered in, not hoped for.
The resin is cast thick, degassed under vacuum so there are no trapped bubbles to catch wear, and cured for around three weeks before the first cut. The wood is rested for years so the top stays flat and does not move under a monitor arm. The finish — oil or lacquer, built up in coats — resists the marks of working life and can be refreshed in place years later rather than replaced.
